  1. I cant believe you guys had to dispel the myth that trees are 90% air.

  2. I finished the book tonight and am already thinking about my home course differently. I look forward to putting the principles to work!

  3. Finished reading the book this weekend. Plan to read it many more times. Can’t wait to play and try out the concepts I have learned.

    Thanks.

  4. Just got mine. I am on vacation next week, so I expect I will be reading it for a second time then.

  5. Finished reading my copy the other day. Chapters 18 through 28 are invaluable in increasing GIR’s and, ultimately, lowering scores. I applaud the effort that went into these chapters. Also noteworthy is the development of a plan to incorporate the idea of Separation Values for all types of shots into your practice time and on the course. Well done, gentlemen.

  6. Read Through the book Twice already… Some things I’ve been doing right, Others not so much. Quality Stuff as I would expect from Erik and Dave.

  7. Finished reading last night … normally shot a high 90’s or 100’s … shot a 92 by applying some of the principals from the book!

That just on day one, and have not made it to the practice range …

  8. Thanks Erik and Dave for this book ! This just further confirms your passion and desire to share your hard work with those of us who want to get better and need to be looking at the correct map. Trying harder and having a better attitude don’t help much, if you are stuck with the wrong map. You guys truly understand our needs.

  9. I was already doing some of things recommended in my own course management, but I was doing some of them wrong, such as laying too far back, instead of being more aggressive with a longer club, and since I don’t hit enough GIRs as it is, probably cost me some shots overall. Thanks for the book! I’ve read it know and can’t wait to put it in practice (and get my butt to a class for hitting my irons better).

  10. When creating a shot zone for my irons, is it beneficial to use an indoor simulator (HD Golf), or not because you are really able to aim there, since everything is aligned for you.

  11. Thank you guys:
I need all the help I can get and this is a great help.
Just need to reread (pound it into my thick skull)several times.

  12. This book is great for a proper practice plan that leads you to shooting low.
I would love to understand more the concept of game planning section just need to reread.

Thank you for this book it dissects what you need to do to get you where you want to be.

    AWESOME

  13. Looking for the drills talked about in the book, specifically shortgame?

  14. I would like to see more full swing and short game drills.

  15. What an extremely informative book. I love stats and have found out that I had a lot of misconceptions about how better players navigate a golf course. I literally am Joe Golfer described near the end of the book. I get so close to breaking 80 and seem to flub it up over the last 2 or 3 holes. Next time out, I am playing it forward so I can see what it feels like to get 79 or less. Thanks for the great tips. The 25/50/75/100% distances taped to your wedges is genius. So simple, but yet I never thought to do it. I came to you guys backwards than most. I initially bought a Vision Track and loved it. I started digging into how it came to be and who used it for instruction and found thesandtrap.com. I just wished I would have done it sooner!!!

  16. This is just what I needed…a course of action to shoot my lowest scores. I now have a sense of direction in competing against my buddies! This is revolutionizing my golf game. THANK YOU!!!

  17. Received my copy of LSW this afternoon, read it cover to cover this evening. A lot of great information, obviously too much to digest in one sitting so I’ll be re-reading and trying to absorb it bit by bit. Can’t wait to get to the course and map my shot zones, I’m sure it will be eye-opening to say the least!

  18. I’ve LSW awhile and I keep going back to it.
I see a lot of Harvey Penick in your thoughts & drills.

I am currently practicing only Keys #1 and 2. and aiming for the middle of the green.
I am also working with a Former PGA & Senior Player & Teaching Pro on these things.
My index has dropped over 3 strokes in the last 30 days.

What has all of happened all of a sudden is, I can “see” the shading as I come to a hole and I am making better shot decisions.

Thanks for all the work you put into this book.

BTW – a tree IS 90% air….1% of the time

  19. Great book, I plan to reread it this winter and build more of it into my practice and play. Maybe I missed it, but can we calculate strokes saved using the SCOR values? In the book, shots saved per round were mentioned for some shots, but not others. Thanks, found it late but it’s a great book!

  20. Thank you x 3 for offering this book. The nGIR concept immediately helped me to accept those shots that miss the green. First time I used this concept along with the course management targeting corrections I made, I got up and down on 7 of 9 nGIRs. I can see myself consistently breaking 80 with this info and applying the recommended drills and skills.

  21. Great book !
I’ve just reread it this week and every point is absolutely critical to improving my game .
    Thanks guys ,
    Michael
